DC Collectibles Copperhead: Arkham Origins

Several people have taken up the alias of Copperhead with varying degrees of strange. The other Copperheads that appeared in comics were always contortionists, but were either in possession of a snake suit that protected them and injected venom from a hood, or were actual mutated snake men.

This take on Copperhead is supposed to be the daughter of the new 52 Copperhead. This helps explain the actual forked tongue and snake-like eyes she seems to possess. Still a master contortionist, she is one of the eight assassins hired to kill Batman for that cool 50 million. Her clawed gauntlets are tipped with a poison that causes blurred, vertigo-like hallucinations until the opponent dies. This version of Copperhead now appears in the DC Rebirth comics, although there seem to be others as well?

I enjoyed the Copperhead fight and the South American take on this villain. It made her unique, and she was very much a force to be reckoned with. This figure pretty much nails down everything about Copperhead. The tattoos, inhuman eyes, gauntlets are well done. The fact that her entire midsection from hips to the chest is a completely soft plastic that actually makes it looks like she has no lower ribs, is amazing. My only gripe about this figure is that her feet are pretty tiny looking given her height and frame.

Sculpt&Paint: 8/10 The design and sculpt of this figure are great. She has some soft plastic pieces that allow great movement, and her tattoo is pretty neat. The paint on my figure is rubbing a bit from use and posing, especially the soft rubber parts. She is still very nicely shaded and painted though.

Articulation: 8/10 25+ points of articulation! Seriously, why wasn't DC doing this from the start?
Double jointed knees, elbows, a diaphragm joint and a soft plastic ab crunch, ankle pivots, ball jointed wrists. Whoa. Her legs get into some great poses. I only wish they had made her head articulation better to get he in a crouch facing directly forward as she was in the game. All snakey like!

Price/Availability: 8/10 Since she came in the same pack as Deathstroke and Joker (Red hood), same deal here too.

Accessories: 0/10 This score for Copperhead isn't quite completely fair, since she has no other weapons, gadgets or other hand helds other than her already present claws in the game itself. They could have made an alternate head or hands I suppose? Another weakness in the Rating system! Time for a revamp.

Verdict: 24/40 Probably deserves more than this. She is a great figure, and probably one of my favorite female DC figures I own. This number may change in the near future.

Nice, but it would have been great if they
had added a malicious grin or snake tongue!

I will break what is left of you!"

"Right here, cabron!"
