DC Collectibles Arkham Knight - Arkham Knight

Arkham Knight was the final installment in the Arkham series of games, and it pulled off a lot of things well. The graphics were amazing. The new batsuit, with its interlocking armored parts, and the return of Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill, among others, was great. I enjoyed being able to double team puzzles and fights with Catwoman, Robin and Nightwing. I have mixed feelings about how the Batmobile worked in the game, but it was fun to use and fight with.

The game had a few main antagonists. Scarecrow was the overarching plot villain while the Arkham Knight was part of that and the main combatant Batman went up against. Suited up in a more militaristic style of armour and gear, the Arkham Knight was Scarecrow's general, to mobilize troops and bring down Gotham and Batman. He had no qualms about killing, employed tons of advanced technology and troop types, and even personally fights with Batman a few times in the game.
I won't spoil the identity of the Arkham Knight in case someone hasn't played it, but this figure was pretty well done.

The paint details are great on all his belt and armoured equipment. He comes with one solid looking sniper/assault type gun that is actually "transforming" dual pistols (in the game, not on the figure). His articulation is pretty solid, though is somewhat limited in some places.

Sculpt&Paint: 8/10 Great. The details on the Knight are fantastic. The sculpt is solid. The shoulder pads are a soft plastic that allows the shoulders to move horizontally. The camo red and black pattern on the body is very clean. The only thing that is missing is the eyes. The figure comes with no paint on the eyes. The Arkham Knight has blue LED lit type eyes in the game. I put a quick prime coat over them to pinpoint the shape, and will make a better attempt later.

Articulation: 7/10 25 points. The figure does pretty well in articulation. The hands are swiveled and hinged, as are the ankles. The diaphragm  joint doesn't allow side to side movement, but merely a swivel. The ab crunch has excellent range, but has a bit of a ugly block sticking out the back if bent too far.

Price&Availability: 7/10. A few at near original price. The figure can be found at BBTS or eBay second hand for nearly or less than its original value.

Accessories: 2/5  One, well done. The gun is very well painted and has some nice, small details such as the red symbol, gun barrel and handles, with a nice, bright silver to the body. It would have been nice to have his pistols as well,, along with hands to hold them. Also, the revealed head!

Fun Factor: 2/5 Good!I had fun posing this figure in nice crouching poses with his sniper aimed. He is a little bit top heavy, so has a tendency to fall forward if not posed well with his ankle rocker.

Verdict: 26/40 Nice figure! A few things I'd change for articulation and accessories, but very solid. It is definitely a must for your Arkham collection given he is the title villain.

I felt some mild regret that I found out about the identity of the Arkham Knight before playing the game. Still fun though!

His combiner pistols/sniper rifle. Implausible? Yes. Cool to see
transform? Also yes!

Danger zone!

Jump shot!

This is as close as he gets to a
sniper pose. But still, not all that bad.

Doubles as a cane should he ever
get too crimpled/old!
