Mafex Justice League Batman

As I said previously I've begun posting content on Gemr, a great website for collectors of all things that you might collect!

On occassion, I will do this type of "linked review" to bring some much-deserved traffic to Gemr and showcase some of the guest blog work.

Please check it out if you haven't already! The folks there helped edit some of the photos and layout and it turned out pretty great!

Sculpt&Paint: 5/5 This is as close I think as you can get to the Justice League Batman in action figure form. The only better Battfleck look is probably the newly released Bruce Wayne from Mafex. Great paint, amazing texturing for the sculpt, and just a great overall look.

Articulation: 5/5 (31 points): Really good range and types of joints on this one. One thing that is interesting about Mafex is that the hands easily (but not TOO easily) unplug from the ball/pin joints. They don't have as much range as swivel hinge wrists, but they do just fine. The double jointed knees and elbows give a good range as do the shoulders and thighs. The diaphragm joints are easily the most poseable and amazing and to top it all off, the head can actually LOOK UP! It's surprising how many times a Batman figure can't look up much.

Price Availability: 3/5 This one is available but I found it hard to find for close to its original price. To top it all off, I accidentally bought a knock off! It took me a while to realize it was a knock off...anyway, this is the real one! Not an easy journey and you can expect to pay 10-25% more. I highly recommend ordering through BBTS or Hobby Link Japan NOT eBay! There's a lot of knockoffs of these out there!

Accessories: 5/5 Tons of extra hands, extra teeth gritting face, grenade, grenade launcher, bat grapnel gun with a removable piece, Mafex stand and 3 batarangs. It's pretty much all you need.

Fun Factor: 5/5 This figure is SO amazing in so many ways. Its got great poseability, balances really well, and even though I wished the cape was bend wired like the Mafex Dark Knight, it still looks good.

Verdict: 23/25 A great figure with a great aesthetic and action figure awesomeness. The only thing holding it back is the price and how to get a legitimate copy!
