McFarlane Toys DC Multiverse Wonder Woman - Dark Knights: Death Metal

As the Earth is enveloped by the Dark Multiverse, everything is transformed into a hellish landscape. Many heroes are captured or killed. Wonder Woman forges a new weapon made of her lasso and invisible jet to create a Chainsaw of Truth (I did not make this up!). The chainsaw radiates Anti-Crisis energy (I feel very lost in these comics sometimes), and with it, she is able to go toe to toe with The Batman Who Laughs and his Dark Knights.

This is a pretty awesome look for Wonder Woman. I love the armour, the helmet piece, and even the strange chainsaw! And can we talk about the cool blue hair?? Amazing. The figure, despite having heels, stands fairly well as they are pretty wide and solid. The sculpt and paint are great here, and the articulation is better than the others in Death Metal. The articulation range is pretty unhindered for the most part. This is a good figure!

Sculpt/Paint: 3/3 Unlike the others, aside from maybe some dry brushing, there aren't many areas here that I have complaints about. The sculpt is AMAZING. The cape folds, the hair sway, and the general look of the armour builds to a very cool figure. The lips and eyeliner are also pretty perfect on this and make her look very badass.

Articulation: 2/3 (27 points) The figure does fairly well here. The double joints for the knees, elbows, wrists and ankle work well. The toe hinge isn't loose at least, and the thigh and shoulders give decent range despite the armour/skirt hindrance. One thing that doesn't work at all though is the head joint. The hair is so stiff and large you can't really move her head at all. The waist has minimal side-to-side movement and the ab crunch is there but the rubbery overlay is so stiff you can't do anything with it. Too bad!

Accessories: 1/1 She comes with the Dark Father head and cape pieces, as well as the stand, card and her Chainsaw of Truth. All pretty good! As usual, the weapon piece could use a touch more paint.

Fun Factor: 2/3 She's slightly unwieldy in terms of posing because of the hair issue and the heel balance issue, but she looks amazing on the shelf regardless. I want to recreate the lightning effects in the card background because that looks great. Near impossible to balance one-legged, but other stances work.

Verdict: 8/10 Worthy It's a cool figure, even if you don't care about the Dark Knights Metal storyline, or getting the Dark Father pieces. Love the alternative look!

Back view. Nice cape swoosh

Accessories! I'm a little miffed at why they don't
have a comic picture for this one.

"I have the power!"

Always use a chainsaw two-handed!

Final fight!
