DC Collectibles Hush - Arkham City

As things run rampant in Arkham City, a man matching the description of Bruce Wayne appears to be up and murdering folk. It's up to you on this side mission to find out, and of course, it is Hush. Thomas Elliot is a sociopath and childhood friend of Bruce Wayne. You discover who it is, at which point he manages to escape and you don't really hear much about him until Arkham Knight. He is an exceptionally skilled surgeon who hunts down people who have face parts that match what he needs. Seems like a super elaborate disguise to me! Anyway, his face is usually bandaged in comics for healing from whatever face grafts he has undergone or is about to undergo.

This figure has all the classic looks of Hush, they didn't really change much. He includes his long coat, armored body look, and two pistols that can be holstered. He's not the worst for articulation, but the range in the knees and elbows is just ok. This figure was also made with clear plastic pegs for the joints, so one arm was broken and had to be repaired with a metal wire and glue. It worked out, just don't look at the inside elbow joint too long! The only thing I would otherwise wish here is that they had included the fake Wayne face with all the suture lines!

Sculpt/Paint: 3/3 Very spot on here as usual. The bandages have a nice dirty wash, and the grimace expression is good. The details in the sculpt are even sharper and more attractive than the game. I like how he seems to have an armored look, with the shin guards and boots really standing out. It makes him more of a serious-looking villain and less just a dude running around with a coat and bandages. Speaking of, the coats' washes and flare makes for a nice look and interferes less with leg movement than a cape, like Batman might.

Articulation: 2/3 (20 points) He's got a few pieces the more static villains recently haven't had: actual pelvis cut swivel (but not hinges), knees that can do 90ish, mid-thigh and boot cut swivel. The upper body isn't bad, the head has decent range and can look down a bit, the shoulders work well despite the coat, he has wrist hinges, and the elbows are a very easy-to-move hinge swivel.

Accessories: 1/1 He comes with his two pistols, which are painted nicely with a good dry brushed black on metal, and fit well into his holsters. Mine had one with a broken trigger, but I hear given how tight they fit into his hands that this is a common issue.

Fun Factor: 2/3 I see this one as a lot more intricate in paint and sculpt, and looks a lot cooler on the shelf with others. Plus a two pistol using figure automatically gives it +1 cool points! He's a bit static for poses but cool to view with other villains.

Verdict: 8/10 Worthy He's a rarer figure to find cheap, has decent posing options and has a great sculpt and paint job. I would say unless you have a Mafex Hush that sold out instantly, this is a really cool addition to your Batman rogues gallery.

That coat flair tho!

"Ugh..I need so god damn coffee"

If you look you'll see my Frankenstein pin job of the elbow!

I was a bit surprised how dynamic he can look
despite limited joints in the lower body.

The series 4 Arkham City batman looks WAAAAY
too thin and skinny compared to this bulk.
