Panda Mony Toys - Albert VII (Alter Nation)

He's a monkey/bull hybrid. What. I mean it's just the horns but interesting enough! I would think a highly agile practical joker character who leaps and climbs would be at a slight disadvantage having clunky horns to watch out for all the time, but clearly, I wouldn't qualify for GK Special forces! According to his store bio, he does have legs strong enough for both leaping and charging!

He's one of the most articulated and fun to pose characters of the six and has the most 90s practical joke accessories: boxing glove hammer, whoopie cushion (yes, it works, folks), and (I assume) banana cream pie!  Even his two weapons have joke pieces to them. I'm not sure why his name is Albert VII, but interestingly enough on some parts of the website, his name is Little Bighorn. I actually find that one a bit more fitting, since there's no real explanation as to why Alberta VII.

Sculpt/Paint: 3/5 Much like the others he has a decent sculpt with a few nice bits to it to include belt pieces, armour plates, and I really like that they made his tail a fairly sturdy but flexible plastic with a wire in it so you can bend it and use it to hook onto things. The paint is well enough applied and very sticking. You definitely can't miss this guy in a crowd. The facial expression is pretty good too, belying his jovial attitude. He also came, as did many of them (forgot to mention) with stickers, but I find them pretty annoying and even glued on they seem to fall off readily.

Articulation: 3/5 (19 points) Because his action feature is mostly the tail and his gimmick weapons, nothing interferes with the movement here (in fact it adds!). He's got a decent turn on his neck, inhibited a bit by his armored colour. His shoulders, even with the pads, have a good range. Good single jointed knees and elbows that have 90-degree flexion, and what, swivel hinge wrists AND ankle rocker joints. Add to that a waist swivel and a wire tail makes him a lot of fun to pose and use!

Accessories: 4/5 Even though he doesn't come with swappable parts he's definitely got the biggest range of stuff that has fun features. 1) Banana peel white machine gun 2) Pie end pistol 3) Boxing glove hammer (works most of the time!) 4) Banana cream pie and a 5) Whoopie cushion that works. I mean, that's impressive. They're certainly not just some typical weapons.

Fun Factor: 4/5 He's definitely more balanced and easier to pose than the others. His range of accessories make photo sessions fun and because of how flexible his limbs and tail, you can hang him just about anywhere!

Verdict: 14/20 Good He's not necessarily my favourite character design but as a figure he's got some of the best features. For 25 bucks CAD, he's well worth it if you are looking to add to your Alter Nation figures or just want a fun monkey hybrid action figure!
