I've already talked a little about Two-Face in my previous post on the Arkham City version (if you haven't seen it, look here! Arkham Two-Face review. I find him to be a much more dramatic and powerful character in The Dark Knight than I have in other movies or shows. He also has a true purpose for his wrath, as opposed to just for the sake of being a small-time criminal. Aside from his character's motivation, I think Aaron Eckhart delivered a good performance, and I don't say that often about him!
This is one of the few figures I own that is in a suit and tie, and I have to say Mafex really pulls it off well. With a figure like this, you don't need a ton of articulation, but it is surprisingly good despite some limits, such as on the jacket bottom. He comes with every accessory possible for his role in the show with the options of changing him into pre-burnt Harvey Dent! His sculpt and facial features are actually fairly close to the actor, though the eyes seem to be overly squinted for either head sculpt.
Sculpt & Paint: 5/5 They did an amazing job with this figure. The suit is a flat texture, but all the details of the tie, buttons, shoes and skin tones are painted on super well. The hair is a silky blonde and the face is near dead on. My only criticism is as with the other Mafex figures when it comes to eyes and smaller facial details, the dot-matrix printing, while accurate, makes his eyes and certain pieces look a bit grainy.
Articulation: 4/5 (28 points): He's got all the great joints of an import figure: drop-down hinge hips, a good ankle rocker, toe hinge, swivel hinge wrists, double-jointed elbows, single hinge knees (with a good range despite), waist, diaphragm, and a joint for the base of the neck and head. What I really love about Mafex figures is that for the most part, moving the joints is a dream. They have really good tension and yet slide into place as you move the figure. This figure is no exception to that. You won't be able to move it into as dynamic poses as Batman due to the sculpt, but for this one, you really don't need to.
Price/Availability: 2/5 This figure was released in June of 2018, and due to his popularity along with the other DKT figures, is mostly out of stock or at fairly high prices in places like Amazon. I managed to find him on a slight discount at Hobby Link Japan, but he is now out of stock there too. You may be able to find him in the second-hand market, but as with my Mafex Justice League
Batman...watch for fakes!
Accessories: 5/5 He comes with his revolver, alternate Harvey Dent head, several hands (coin gripping, open style, and fists), two coins, his I Believe in Harvey Dent (amazing that you can actually read it!). He also comes with his unburnt arm and unburnt jacket to put on. All amazingly done, especially the coins and pin.
Fun Factor: 4/5 Despite being a figure in a suit, he balances super well even in a one-legged pose. Very solid and he looks great with his pistol or just holding the coin.
Verdict: 20/25 Great He is a really well-done figure with everything you need out of a Harvey Dent figure. If you want a cool Harvey Dent/Two-face in this scale or you loved The Dark Knight.
Get it if you can!
Awesome detail in the face, especially the crispy side. |
Bad side |
The back. I like the realistic break from the burnt side to the untouched side |
Good side |
Pretty good kick for a suited figure! |
His accessories |
Now that is some detail! |
I believe! |
Great head sculpt and paint, though I wish he had a more neutral expression. This one looks a bit too intense. |
One of his coins. Pretty hard to get that in there, and it slips out easily. I was dead sure I'd lose this in about 5 seconds. |
"I'm the Batman. Fo' realzies" |
The pain! |
"You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain" |
"The only morality in a cruel world is chance. Unbiased, unprejudiced, fair" |
"It's not about what I want, it's about what's FAIR!" |

Definitely a very detailed figure!
