McFarlane Toys Arkham Origins Deathstroke Vs. DC Collectibles Arkham Origins Deathstroke

In full credit to Toy Galaxy's youtube channel for when Dan did comparisons between two of the same figures from different companies or lines, this is a quick comparison of the two Arkham Origins Deathstroke figures. A note: This comparison uses an unhelmeted DC Collectibles version vs. a McFarlane version I actually added paint to because it lacked so much paint.

Here are our categories!     Sculpt and Paint
                                            Overall Accuracy
                                            Accessories
                                            Articulation

Sculpt/Paint: Both figures do certain things well here. DC collectibles blows it out of the water though given how it has a complete painted figure, scratch marks of white/silver for damage, and even has shading for the face sculpt. The fact I didn't need to paint asymmetrical parts makes the winner obvious.
DC Collectibles Wins!

Overall Accuracy: Both do a decent job of representing Slade but as I review source material and video clips it seems the DC Collectibles version is a little bit too shiny of a blue in comparison. Also, the battle damage shown in the sources isn't as numerous or bright as shown in the DCC Collectible version, so McFarlane has it down for accuracy. McFarlane Wins!

Accessories: I didn't hide my disappointment that McFarlane has a weird sheath, bent sword, and nothing else. DCC on the other hand had a well-painted sword with a sheath that wasn't dumb (though I will say the sword is a bit small), the extending staff, and a painted pistol he can actually holster.
DC Collectibles Wins!

Articulation: In a technical sense DC Collectibles has more joints with their swiveled hips and ab joint that allows more crunch as well as a waist swivel. BUT for reasons mostly on the side of engineering of what McFarlane already has, I find you can get more range out of more of the joints, especially the hips, head, and side to side of the torso. McFarlane gets this one, but not by a wide margin. It didn't help DC's case that it was kinda loose all over and had almost no good stand posing due to knees collapsing inwards. McFarlane Wins

McFarlane is quite a bit taller here

Killer face sculpt and paint on DCC though!

Excellent sculpt..terrible black paint add was
clearly mine

Far better splits with McFarlane. I was surprised
to forget how annoyingly loose all the DCC joints are

I don't get it, but the double joint is not properly built
for the McFarlane, so it doesn't bend far even though
it looks like it is supposed to.

Both back bends aren't great

DCC clearly has better ab crunch

but McFarlane wins at side to side action

The final verdict is a draw! I am kinda into the McFarlane one at this point but mostly because playing with the DCC version isn't as fun. Seems like the looseness in the joints everywhere in the lower limbs makes him hard to pose. Plus because of DCC's terrible quality control, his hand joint snapped ages ago so I had to replace it with a pin that doesn't quite sit right.
