This is by far the largest effect in terms of size of the three! This very stylish effect set comes with a large, wide-diameter wind column piece that rests easily on flat surfaces. Two larger pieces feature a semi-circle design that is also meant to fit on a flat surface, creating a more powerful wind base aura. The last three wind effects are slight variations on a semi-circular wind slash. These have peg holes so you can plug in a choice of three plastic bars for characters to hold or to join two effects together. So nine pieces in all!
I love the look of the effects, although the joints and parts with holes break up the light slightly when posing. A minor nitpick, but It would also be fun in the two large base slashes were identical and could be joined on their flat side with a peg to form a really wide air slash. That might be cool to see!
Aesthetics: 3/3 The look of the wind effect parts is well done, with a good choice of a lighter blue to make the effect more prominent. They could have made this a colourless set (though it'd be fairly weak), but this is better. The air slices look nice and jagged (and very pointy!). These look great around characters with some wind effects like Naruto's wind Rasenshuriken!
Durability: 1/1 These parts feel fairly sturdy, even the large column. Some light pressure on the top doesn't feel like much is budging. The plastic used is fairly thick, though I'd still be more careful with the large column because it does have clearly glued-in separate sections.
Functionality: 2/2 Pretty dynamic functions for these pieces, with a possibility of even using the large column effect horizontally to frame a character's form. The wind slices can be moved to many places with the versatile peg in parts to create slashes, sonic style waves of energy, or just a surrounding force of air.
Verdict: 6/6 Amazing. These parts are great, and if you're looking for effective pieces that work in a wide variety of photo ops, this is it. They sort of double as both blue energy aura effects on top of being wind effects, so there's a bit more movement in what you can do with these. The colour is great and the peg in parts make for more choice. Highly recommend!
